Some days I just can't get started.
I have drawn this feather
and now I have this to draw.....
This tiny, beautiful, twisted, dried echo of a daffodil.
and I can't get started.
I think too much of the feather
I'm afraid of ruining the page.
Shall I be brave and push on.......... or listen and turn the page?
Turn the page
And return to the feather
when I care less.
Success has its pit-falls

week ahead I have lots of yoga and fitness classes….
I've joined a gym! And all
the classes are included ….
so I am queen of the slow exercise class ….
(every stretch a hommage to Mum)
I am also doing sensible eating and am going along
to ‘Weight watchers’ on a Thursday. I don’t know why it works but if I pay
someone to weigh me in public every week I stop pigging out!
I am drawing
at the moment.
in love with pen and ink and scratch about on delicious watercolour paper.
I am also loving looking at Galle glass vases and Japanese woodblock
I am also loveing tha the sun is shining,
it’s not freezing cold
the ornamental cherry trees are blooming
pink frothy pillow of blossom
It must be spring

The studio has been extremely cold this
I have been getting in, turning on the heating
and then going to get coffee.
By the time I get back the studio is above arctic
and I can start thinking about taking off my coat and putting on my studio
I also have a furry blanket in the chair that I can wrap around me when
it’s VERY cold.
Ah the romantic life of an artist!!!
This is the view from my window when the
snow started getting serious.
The schools closed early last Friday (HUGE cheer
from children!) and we snugged in at home making soup and baking cakes and
Though before the snow, I did manage to get some stuff done in my new project book.
Since then I have hit a bit of an artistic wall and need to push
through (that always happens with me after a really good week).
And now its raining and everything has gone back to grey from white.
it got me thinking.... isn't it funny how we just accept that snow is white!
wouldn't it be great if snow came in different colours!
and you didn't know what colour snow you would get until it snowed.... how fantastic would that be !
Sledging would be awesome
Today I have to plan a group of workshops I am teaching next half term
So no more dreaming of multi coloured snow..... lesson plans and 'outcomes' for me
Have a wonder full Friday
